TEXTURE AND LINE

This is a texture and line project, and the purpose of this project is to show abstraction, positive and negative space with the help of a black ink pen.  Negative space is the space between and around the element of an image; whereas, positive space is the space in the element of the image. Also, negative space create more depth in texture because it helps to clear the vision of positive space in the image. Hence, it makes the texture more clear and precise. First of all, there are four rows in each Bristol board, and the each box size is 3X3 inches. In the first row, i have placed three pictures of different pattern and texture with the glue. In the second row, i have copy the first row with the pencil. In the third row, i have drawn the elements which inspired me in the second row such as little rocks in the first column, windy lines in the second column, and few straight and diagonal lines in the third column and so on. I have repeat those abstractions many times to create a new pattern and texture in each box in the third row in order create more tight texture. The fourth row shows the influence, positive and negative space with the help of the black ink. In the fourth row, i have repeated the elements many times to create more tight texture and shows positive and negative space in it. I have shown the positive space by living the white space in the texture, and negative space shown by the use of ink in the texture. I am quite satisfy with the work i have done on this project. The thing i like in this project is to abstract element from the second row and repeated it many times in the third row. And the successful part in this project is to create negative and positive space.

WORKING ON THIS PROJECT

This is my working on this project. As we can see in these Bristol board, i have drawn each box by measuring the accurate distance from each other. The size of each box is 3X3 inches, and i have made twelve boxes on each Bristol board. In first row, there are printed copy of pattern and texture that i took with the camera and glued it on the Bristol board. In second row, i have copy the same the first row with pencil. In third row, i have abstract some elements that influenced me, and then i repeated those elements many times in order to create new pattern and texture.
