SELF-PAINTING AND COLLAGE

This is a Self-Painting and Collage project. The purpose of this project is to show the combination of painting and collage together and make a beautiful picture. First of all, i have drawn my picture of the tracing paper, and then i transfer that picture on crystal board. Afterwords, i have paint my picture and put it to dry. Then, i took another crystal board to make a collage. I have used plants, trees, sky and other elements in my collage to make it real. Then, i cut out my picture from the crystal board and paste it on my collage's crystal board. Hence, you can see the combination of painting collage together. 

MEMORY GAME PROJECT

The purpose of this project is to make a game that somehow relate to the memory. So i make a game about cultural clothes. I have to make a minimum of  5 cards of cultural clothes. The countries' cultural clothes i pick for this game are from India, China, West Africa, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. I have to design the box of the card that should related to the game.  So i choose to put the same color which are yellow and red of the box and the cards. And also, i drew the same designs on the back of the cards and on the box. I pick five different countries' culture, and on the front of each card, i drew the cultural clothes of  countries.The students have to identify the name of the clothes. For hint, i draw the country's map on the back of the car which is related with cultural clothes. If they named it correctly, they get a point. So the person who get the maximum point at the end of the game would win the game. There are some rules I have to make for this game are as follow:
1) Pick a card.
2) Identify the name of the country on the front the card.
3) For hint, see the map of a country back of the card
4) If answer your answer correct, you get a point.

ARCHETYPES PROJECT

The purpose of this project is to make a talisman symbol or zodiac sign or any other symbol that we going to use as a ritual for the 5 days continuously. So, I have made a talisman symbol that i had used for five days continuously.

I have drawn my Talisman on my pillow which I have used for five days when I go to sleep at night, and I made this my ritual for the next five days. The placement of the talisman figure is on the right-hand side of the pillow, and I chose to place my talisman figure there because it would be easy to click my photo with talisman. I started using my talisman design as a ritual from 30^th October to 3^rd of November.  I have used three upper and lower case letters such as ‘A’, ‘K’, and ‘S’ in order to make my talisman which looks like a stable and solid standing image. Then, I have drawn the figure on my pillow and also used black fabric marker in order to coloring in it. I have taken photos of myself each day of using talisman at night which helps me create documentation on using talisman as a ritual. First day when I have painted my talisman on my pillow and used it, I didn’t have a good sleeping time because I was continuously thinking that there is something under my head which was kind of disturbing me. So, I didn't sleep well on the first day of talisman project. Second day, I had the same feeling as I felt on the first day. Third day, I was getting used to it because that talisman pillow I was continuously using it for two days. Fourth day, when I was using my pillow, I had a scary dream which make me wake up in the night around 3 to 4am. When saw my pillow in early morning, I throw it out from my bed because the talisman design looks weird to me in morning. Fifth day, when I was using my pillow, I was very comfortable with it, and I think now I could use it for many more days as a ritual.

ART AND ECO INTERVENTIONS PROJECT

This is an Art and Eco Interventions project. The purpose of this project is to show the connection between environment and the Art. In this project, i worked with a partner. For this project, we make fences by using a lot of small sticks. My professor told the class that we have to do this project on the campus only, and she gave us only two hours to finish this project. Also, she said told the class that we have to choose the place where nobody would get disturb. So we done this project in my college near the pond.  The place we choose is the best place because my project didn't disturb anyone who were walking near to my project work place. So we make the fences which prohibit people to come inside the fence. I made a fence by using organic and geometric shapes with the help of wood sticks. There are a lot of repetitions i use in this project because i use lot of pieces of wood sticks to make the fences. And also, the color of the material and surrounding has a good contrast volume which makes it looks like real.


WORKING ON THIS PROJECT

SELFIE - PATTERN AND TEXTURE PROJECT

This is the part-2 of my selfie project. I have added patterns and textures on my selfie. There are seven gray scales i used in this project, and  for each gray scale, i drawn different pattern which look effective. I tried to create the illusion of depth in this project by using different patterns and textures. I have also create emphasis by use of negative and positive space and contrast in this project. I think the emphasis of this picture is on the black eyes and lips because whenever i see this selfie, the first thing i see is the eyes and lips because of the color.The patterns i use in this project are very detailed and that what makes it more effective.The black color and white color in the background showing the contrast on the face. The thing i like the most in this project is to draw detailed patterns on the selfie. The thing i would change next time is that i would leave more positive space. I think the image would look more effective at that time.

WORKING ON THE PROJECT 

when I started started working on this project, i used tracing paper which help me to create good textures and patterns on my selfie. So for each part of gray scale in this project, i used different patterns.

 For example, when i was drawing pattern on my hair, i practice a bit on a tracing paper as you can see in this picture. So there are seven gray scale used in this project and i have drawn many different patterns on each gray scale to make it effective and nice.

SELFIE PROJECT

This is a Selfie Project in which i have took my own black and white photo and make it a bit unclear by using adobe Photoshop. The purpose of this project is to use gray scale.  I have take out the b/w print out of my own selfie and then trace it on the Bristol board. After tracing it, i used black and white paint and black ink to coloring in the image. Mainly i have to show the increment in gray scale values by using ink with water. So there are 8 gray scale values including black and white in the finished product. The emphasis on the images is the eyes and lips in the image because it is painted by black color and the placement of them is in the middle of the image which attract our eyes toward them. The thing i would change in this project is the use of gray scale. It was a bit difficult to measure the increment of gray color when i was coloring the image. However, i am satisfy with my work because i got the gray scale increments as a needed.

WORKING ON THE PROJECT

 This is my working on this project. First of all, i trace the images by using tracing paper. Secondly, i trace the image on the Bristol board by using tracing paper.










In this project, i have stated painting with the black part first and then different values of gray scales.

In this image, i have colored many part of the image by different values of gray scale 

 In this image, i have almost finished with my painting. I was just giving the final touch to it.

This is the gray scale that i have used to measure the increment values of gray color  when i was coloring the image.

COLLAGE PROJECT

This is a collage project in which one collage is maximalist and other one is minimalist, and the purpose of this project is to create emphasis. The maximalist means the picture covers whole Bristol board or your background paper; whereas, minimalist doesn't cover whole area with objects and elements.This a maximalist collage. In this collage, i create the emphasis on girl because of the placement, isolation, color,and scale. The placement of the girl is on the right hand side of the Bristol board, and she has a corn in her hand. There is also a bird that hunting for fish from the river/lake. It seems like the girl is seeing the bird hunting for fish. The scale i used in this collage is that the girl is in the foreground and bird in the background. Because of the girl is in the foreground, all the emphasis is on her, and also the dress color of the girl's clothes is bright which attract my eyes on her first and then on other things. The isolation is also much clear in this collage because we can see the bird in the middle, the girl on the right hand side. The thing i would like to change in this collage is to add more of object which make this collage more excited and interested. And the successful part is the placement and isolation which creates emphasis on girl.

This collage is the minimalist one. In this collage, my emphasis is on the people who are trying to grab the coca-cola bottle to drink. The color of the coca-cola bottle and the color in the background seem the same which make the picture more excited and clear.So, the scale used in this collage is that the coca-cola bottle is in foreground, people in middle-ground, and kind of desert/mountain area in background. The placement is also seems clear because i placed drink bottle on the left hand side and people on the right hand side who trying to run toward the bottle in order to drink it. The isolation is also much clear in this collage because we can easily see the people and background.
